Dear brothers,
Here are some tips to live a Christian live…
First of all this live will go by. So if anything bad is happening in this world do not “freak out.” I mean soon you will die and what you do in this world will go by.
The only thing that will last is what you do for Christ. Your church will remember you for that; your friends will remember you for that and your family too. You will not be remembered for throwing an amazing party one Friday. You will not be remembered for chugging down the most beers out of your family (and we all know that Christians should not drink). You will be remembered for leading others to salvation or preaching a great message to thousands of lost people.
Set your affections of good things, things that please Jesus. Do not set your affection for of the world. Do not care for drugs and sex. Care for churches and God. Setting your affections for the world will only lead to you losing your salvation. Question: How can you love the things of the world and the things of God?
My brothers in this new century we are seeing people talk back to their parents, treating there parents like dirt, step over them, etc. It is time to be different from those who treat their parents like piece of trash, it is time to love and honor your parents.
Are you still single now and looking for a respectful Christian husband? Pray to God to lead you to a Christian husband. Search for God’s choice of husband material. If you are married and have a respectful Christian husband, keep praying to God so he will not change. There is still hope to those who are single and those who are widows that if you pray to God to find you a humble Christian husband, I am sure he will.
Have you ever taken time off and counted all of your blessings (not anything that has to do with money)? I mean what are your blessings. Maybe they are having a good health, having a great husband, having kids that are following God, having a great career, etc. Anything that is good and fruitful. Your blessings are important because they bring joy not bitterness. Who gave you those blessings? God did. If you lose faith in God those blessing’s could disappear and you are only left with a bitter heart towards God. My brothers do not blame God for your fault or your most treasured values being lost. You are to blame not God. Look at Job; he had lost all of his blessings: his family, animals, health, etc. Even through that time of sadness and frustration, he did not blame God. He could of but he did not.
Be content with what you have. Do not have anger but be content. Remember that Jesus loves you. Therefore, smile occasionally, you are under God’s love and grace.
When have you fell into the temptations of sins? Many times. We are all humans and God knows that we have to fall sometimes. Do not trip my brothers or think it is the end of the world. Just learn of what you have done, come before God and repent. God will forgive you if you repent with your whole heart.
Have you been made fun on, labeled on, or being excluded from groups because you are a Christian? If you answered yes to all of these, one, or two of these and I know what you have been through. Maybe what you had gone through is you sadness, sorrow or anger, irritation. Maybe you regret being a Christian or maybe you get angry with those people, that you hate them with all your heart. Whatever you felt is gone by and you can forget about it. Ask God to open your heart more to forgive those who made fun of who you were. If you are going through this, pray to God about them. Hold your head high and do not let them get to you. You should be proud of being a Christian a person that is saved. In addition, God is there with you so you are not a loner or a loser because he is there.
Question: Are you involved in your church? If so, are you doing a good cause and is it going successfully? If not then it is about time you are. Get involved with your Church. Ask your Pastor to sing some worship songs. Teach a Sunday class. Ask your pastor if you can preach a Sunday or a Saturday. Clean around the Church. There are so many things that people can do around the Temple of God. So the question is now: What will you get involved in and when?
These are some of the tips I can give to you my brothers. Below in the comment board you can write your own tips to be a better Christian. May God bless you and may you take these tips in mind.
Until next time my brothers Alex- otherwise known as Alexandra
